A pluralistic approach
My name is Julia and I’m a mentor and coach. My work is about supporting and teaching you to love yourself - not just thinking you love yourself but truly loving yourself inside and out. Accepting all of yourself and overcoming the old patterns of behaviour that hold you back; that drain your energy; that create conflict with self and others.
My particular interest is in the energy of our bodies - the relationship we have with that energy - where we hold energy, how we use our energy and how working in this way shifts our energy. In 2006 I changed careers and enrolled in a three-year counselling course. I was always conscious of the fact that psychotherapy couldn’t provide all the answers so I was continually searching for alternative methods and techniques. In 2012, I attended a retreat and had my first Kundalini Yoga experience. The effects of this experience are still being felt today—Kundalini Yoga is now a daily part of my life. In 2014, I was introduced to the powerful forces of ThetaHealing®. I had an insightful and profound healing, and personally experienced and witnessed the powerful shifts it produces.
Such first-hand experiences encourage me to share what I’ve learnt on my journey to-date with you, knowing that they will be transformational for you too. My pluralistic approach, which combines talking, healing and breath work, is a truly unique offering that allows me to understand and connect with my clients emotionally, mentally and physically.
Oriented towards resolution
Often people come to me with a specific challenge that they’re currently experiencing, or they simply don’t know where to start or can’t articulate why they feel as they do. Everyone is different. My pluralistic approach combines psychotherapy, Kundalini Yoga and ThetaHealing®— a unique offering that enables me to properly understand and connect with my clients emotionally, mentally and physically. Together, we’ll look at and understand anything that’s stopping you from achieving your full potential. My coaching is always orientated towards resolution, an end goal.
Each client receives a tailored programme to suit their needs. These programmes embody freedom—they are the means through which my clients can gain a better understanding of self. Self-awareness is key to my practice. Being engaged in an ongoing process of introspection allows one to effectively follow a path. A result of this sustained focus is that my clients often feel the blocks that once held them back disappear, relationships with others become stronger and there’s a decisive shift from powerlessness to creative freedom in themselves.

What is ThetaHealing®?
ThetaHealing® is a powerful therapy that focuses on releasing negative thought processes and energetic attachments to previous events. It works primarily on a subconscious level through the Theta brainwaves (the waves are present during deep meditation and light sleep). It changes and releases suppressed, deep-seated trauma, memories and negative belief systems. It’s a combination of counselling and tapping into the creative life energies that surround us.
What is Kundalini Yoga?
Kundalini Yoga, known by some as the yoga of awareness, is not about how flexible you are. It’s suitable for everyone, regardless of age and/or physical ability. It helps build strength and confidence by harnessing the immense energy of your mind and emotions through exercise, mantra and meditation.
What is psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy covers a range of methods and approaches. These range from one-to-one talking sessions to therapies that use techniques such as dance or role play in order to help explore one’s emotions. I have trained extensively in person-centred theory. I work with creative tools, such as art and imagery, which is helpful in our exploration. What’s important is that I provide the space through which you can explore your thoughts and feelings.
